![]() AT + CSQ ** This check signal quality I received the answer “+ CSQ: 0.0” I’m trying to send the SMS to the unit, the serial arduino shows that the SMS was I sent, but it does not get any SMS on my device What is possibly occurring thank you!! ** This is to verify that SIM is registered I received the reply “+ CREG: 0.2” What do you mean you’re not registered, however I’m not sure if that’s right, because usually I use the chip in the mobile device. – I received the answer “+ CPIN: READY” That means it is unlocked. I tested the following AT commands AT – I received the response “OK” AT + CPIN? ![]() Good afternoon, I’m having trouble sending sms My Sim800l apparently present is functioning normally. Here is a a great reference with all the information you’ll need about powering Adruino with external power sources. Arduino 5V output will not be able to provide that much of power and will surely damage the Arduino if such power was drawn. This is because SIM800 can consume around 2A during transmission bursts ( page 22 ). IMO, if you need a reliable and long-term setup, it is better to use an external power source for Arduino and SIM800. I was simply using Arduino 5V output to power SIM800 module. Maybe this stackoverflow question will help you: I did not use an external battery in this setup. Sorry, I haven’t used SIM800 for TCP yet (but I should give that a go).
